Rob is part of the very unique and leading edge Innovation Team within IBM Canada. It is unique within IBM's global operations, and leading edge in their focus on collaborative initiatives to drive innovation on behalf of their enterprise clients. When Rob isn't busy guiding and advising startups as the IBM partner to Arlene Dickinson's District Ventures team.... essentially running an accelerator for later stage startups and scaleups, Rob looks for new innovation opportunities across Western Canada. These often involve partnerships or consortiums where he looks to leverage the growing startup ecosystem, amazing research capabilities within our post secondary institutions, IBM's own deep pool of Global Research talent, and industry partners and SME's... all focused on addressing the biggest challenges of IBM's clients.
It's a great role for Rob as it takes advantage of his years leading teams and driving new solutions within IBM, leading technology innovation and establishing new markets within ATCO as an executive in their IT subsidiary, and finally his own experience working in startups based here in Calgary
